My Monthly interview
Summer heat is on and time to cool off with some good reading. I am introducing Danielle from bee-ingmommy.blogspot.com/ she is a stay at home who manages three children and a blog with the help of her husband. Hope you enjoy the interview and check out Danielle at bee-ingmommy.blogspot.com/ Welcome Danielle our July interview 1. What do you love about blogging? I started blogging because I wanted to be more than just a stay-at-home mom. I needed something to do to help keep my feet on the ground, make me feel sane and make me feel like me; something that was just mine. I love blogging because it gave me that escape. I can write about anything I want to and focus on topics I love like my kids and crafts. I love that blogging reaches a variety of people and I blog in hopes of inspiring parents to be creative with their kids. 2. What was your biggest fear on your blog Journey? My biggest fear on my blog journey is that one day I won't enjoy it anymore and that I have done all this work for nothing. When you start blogging you feel like you are speaking to crickets. You post something that you think is awesome and nothing. You learn quickly that it takes time and patience to build an audience and if you give up to soon then your fear has caught up to you so keep blogging and keep loving what you do! 3. How do you find time to work on your blog while handling the house chores? This is a tough one. I am a stay-at-home mom to three little ones and they defiantly keep me on my toes. I usually try to work on my blog in the morning while the kids watch something on tv and do the chores during their nap time. About every other week I get in blog mode and write several blog posts or update old post. The next week I focus more on my kids, chores and life and post a saved post. My husband likes to cook dinner and help out around the house when he is home so I am very lucky! 4. Do you find it hard to come up with ideas for your post topics? Not at the moment. I currently have a personal list I've created with several blog posts I want to write about and I add to it every time I come up with another idea. The problem is finding the time to write all the post ideas. I also created a blog post, 200+ Writing Topics for Bloggers, with different topics that I will probably refer back to if I ever do become stuck. As long as my kids keep me busy and my husband likes my handmade gifts, I should have a topic to write about, after all, they are my inspiration. Go into blogging for fun and with your eyes wide open. Don't expect to get a ton of views and money quickly. Like I said above, the most challenging thing about blogging is to keep on going. I blogged for two years before I got my first check, my blog was finally taking off but I was not happy. Blogging had become very stressful and time consuming with my growing family so I decided to take a BLOG-cation (break from blogging) during the summer months. I missed blogging so re-branded my blog and tried to niche down. Although I lost all my viewers and am back to square one, I am happier with my blog. Don't give up and keep on going. Blogging can become stressful and time consuming, especially when life gets in the way but it is okay to take a break, find your inspiration again and keep on going!
