Here are some tips for parents attending open houses for preschool.
1.Compose a list pointing out what contributes to a good school. Use a check list comparing schools visited. 2. Looking at schools, observe how teachers are interacting with children. 3. Does the philosophy of the program fit to your needs? 4 .Does the director seem friendly when addressing concerns you may have? 5. To protect children's health observe cleanliness especially kitchen and bathrooms. Is the food properly stored and/or refrigerated. Are the rooms tidy? 6. Are there games, toys and books for appropriate ages? Are there special classes offered such as dance, music, art? 7. Make a couple of trips back to the school you like at different times of the day to get an idea of the daily routine at school. | Baby Talk
I just saw a study I would like to share with you on baby talk.
Florida scientists found that a babies learned to talk from studying mouths when people talk to them. This goes back to what my mom used to say, a baby learns from example. What is interesting with this study is that babies are learning to talk by lip reading. The more we interact with our babies is helpful for their speech development.
